Rental terms

Version SB-RT-20260930

These terms apply to wheeled waste sorting bins and bag holders rented from Sortaider Rental OÜ (registration number 16835115, the lessor). Sortabit is the service brand. Contact [email protected] or +372 504 3225.

1. Quotation and agreement

Website selections and downloaded PDFs are the basis of a rental enquiry. They do not reserve products or create a contract. An agreement is formed after the lessor confirms availability and a quotation, and the renter accepts that quotation and these terms in writing, including by email.

The quotation records products, quantities, waste streams, the location of use, start and return dates and times, handover arrangements, price and payment deadline. Individually agreed terms take precedence. Later changes to these general terms do not alter an existing agreement.

2. Price and payment

The final quotation states rental charges, VAT treatment and any transport or additional service charges. The website calculation is preliminary. Advance payment, a deposit or another fixed additional charge applies only if agreed before the contract is formed. Payment is due on the date stated in the quotation or invoice.

3. Handover and condition

Products are supplied at the agreed time and place, fit for the agreed use and with the agreed accessories. Both parties check quantities, completeness and visible damage at handover, recording differences in a handover record or by photographs and email. Pre-existing damage is not the renter’s responsibility. Report defects discovered later as soon as reasonably possible.

4. Renter’s responsibilities

  • Use products for their agreed purpose and follow the instructions supplied. Place them on a stable surface and protect them from overloading, fire, unsuitable chemicals and damaging moisture.
  • Use a suitable waste bag. Do not pour waste or liquid directly into a wooden product. Waste collection, emptying and disposal are the renter’s responsibility unless separately agreed otherwise.
  • Do not drill, paint or attach your own adhesive markings. Alterations, repairs, a change of location and subletting require the lessor’s consent.
  • Report damage, faults or loss promptly. Stop using an unsafe or faulty product and take reasonable steps to prevent further damage.

5. Return date and time

Return products to the agreed place by the date and time confirmed in the agreement. Ask for an extension before the return deadline; it takes effect only when confirmed by the lessor. Notifying us of a delay does not by itself extend the rental.

Products must be empty, ordinarily cleaned and complete with all supplied accessories. Do not leave them unattended at an unagreed location. If the lessor arranges collection, make the products accessible at the agreed time. A collection delay caused by the lessor is not treated as the renter’s late return.

For late return, the lessor may claim justified compensation for the period of delay based on the agreed rental charge and applicable law. These terms impose no automatic contractual penalty. Claims for exceptional cleaning, missing parts or additional damage must be explained separately.

6. Liability and defects

The renter is responsible for damage or loss caused by a breach, to the extent provided by law. Ordinary wear is not compensable damage. Any assessment must consider the product’s previous condition, wear and reasonable repair or replacement cost. The same loss cannot be recovered twice.

The lessor is responsible for supplying the agreed product in a usable condition. If a defect arises, the parties arrange repair, replacement or another remedy available by law. Neither party excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Changes, cancellation and disputes

Tell us about changes or cancellation as early as possible. Financial consequences depend on the accepted quotation and applicable law; these terms add no separate cancellation penalty. Once a contract exists, a new date or quantity requires agreement by both parties.

Send questions or complaints to the lessor’s email address with the order details and photographs where relevant. The parties first seek a negotiated solution. Estonian law applies without overriding mandatory consumer protections. Consumers retain their statutory rights, including any applicable right of withdrawal, and may contact the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee or a court.
